Monteforte d'Alpone is a town in the province of Verona, famous for its wine Soave. The Montefortiana (international running competition which brings together some 20,000 athletes), the Carnival (great night parade of floats and masked groups in the Old Town), the Grape and the Wine Festivals have helped make Monteforte a lively village and opened to international tourism.
Monuments and places of interest: the high Bell Tower, Church of Sant'Antonio - XIII century, Church of Cappuccini - XIV century, Church of Santa Croce - XIV century. Palace Episcopal - XV and Palace Durlo-Montanari - XV century.

VERONAThe city of Verona is a major tourist destination, visited annually by more than 3 million people thanks to its richness in arts and architecture, and numerous international events. The roman amphitheater "Arena di Verona" is the most famous monument and has become a symbol of the city itself, it is the third Roman amphitheater in Italy for size, but the best preserved among them. Nowadays it is used to host the famous Opera festival as well as numerous concerts. Juliet's house is a medieval building in Verona, located in Via Cappello, at short distance from the central Piazza delle Erbe. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet in Verona has found evidences, and fantasy has mixed legend and reality, so that many real monuments and places are now recognized as symbols of the love tragedy told by Shakespeare.

SOAVEtown in the province of Verona, Bandiera Arancione by Touring Club Italiano (Orange Flag Awarded means an Excellence in the Tourism among hinterlands in Italy). It is known for the Scaligero Castle and the typical white wine that bears his name. The Medieval Castle of Soave, which belonged to the estate of Della Scala, is a fortification that has marked the history of the town in the province of Verona. The origins of this monumental fortification probably date from the early tenth century.


In a magnificent setting, in the foothills just a few steps from the Castle of Soave and surrounded by vineyards of the best Venetian white wine. 20 km far from downtown Verona, 30 km from Vicenza. The airport "Valerio Catullo" of Verona is only 23 km driving.
